Let the beauty you love be what you do.
There are a thousand ways to kneel and kiss the ground.
This blog began mainly because I want to gaze more. To convey something of the time spent studying the yellowed needles of the tamarack tree and the ceilings of St. Peters and Notre Dame. To walk through cities and and museum halls and the sand beds of Minnesota lakes and be able to dignify them for the entirely tangible beauty they carry. There are more sacred places than we can count, and I am growing accustomed to the impulse to remove my sandals on holy ground.
Every day, I feel myself tread upon an earth soaked in worthiness. Here I write in order to offer attention.
